StaySummary is a Chrome extension that uses AI to summarize accommodation reviews across major booking platforms including Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Expedia, Hotels.com, TripAdvisor, and Agoda. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is processed, and which third-party services are involved.
What Data the Extension Accesses
When you click “Summarize” on a supported listing page, the extension reads publicly available information from that page to generate your summary — such as review content, listing details, and location context. None of this data is tied to your identity.
The extension does not access your account on any booking platform, your browsing history, or any personal information.
What Data Is Stored Locally
The extension stores a small amount of data in your browser to provide its features:
- Cached summaries — Summaries are temporarily cached to improve performance. Cache expires automatically.
- Usage count — A counter used solely to manage your plan’s monthly limit.
- Saved listings — Any listings you choose to save for comparison.
- Preferences — Basic settings such as whether you’ve completed onboarding.
All locally stored data can be removed by uninstalling the extension.
Third-Party Services
StaySummary uses a small number of trusted third-party services to deliver its features. No personal information (name, email, account details) is ever shared with these services.
- AI provider — Listing content is sent to an AI service to generate summaries. No data is retained after processing.
- Location & mapping services — General location data from the listing page is used to provide neighborhood context. Only publicly available data sources are used.
- Payment processor — Subscription payments are handled by Stripe. We never have access to your payment card details. Governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

Your Rights & Control
Since all personal data is stored locally in your browser, you have full control at all times:
- Remove all extension data by uninstalling StaySummary from Chrome.
- Clear cached data through Chrome’s extension storage settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
